Transfer Rumours And Round-Up: August 13-14

Surprisingly, Hull City are topping the transfer charts this afternoon; the Premier League side have completed a double-signing and have designs on a high profile third.

Celta Vigo have sold Kamel Ghilas to the Tigers for a fee of around €2.2 million while the Ireland international, Stephen Hunt, has joined from Reading.

The KC Stadium side are also in the running for Real Madrid's Alvaro Negredo, although the Spaniard is keen to listen for a potential offer from Roma before deciding his fate.

Wesley Sneijder is ready to block any attempt to lever him out of the Bernabeu; the Dutchman is not keen on leaving Madrid, despite a lucrative offer from Aston Villa.

His team-mate and compatriot, Royston Drenthe, is reportedly on the radar of AC Milan, meanwhile.

A man who has played for both of those sides, David Beckham, has admitted that he could return to the Premier League before retiring. In a similar vein, Samuel Eto'o has stated that he could return to Barcelona upon completion of his Inter contract.

The Italian champions are prepared to go as high as €25m in their pursuit of Yoann Gourcuff too.

Lazio are leading the chase for Diego Lugano, along with Fiorentina, but could be set to wave goodbye to two strikers. Goran Pandev is said to be in contact with Zenit St. Petersburg over a move while the agent of Stephen Makinwa has confirmed that his client is moving on this summer.

The Viola, meanwhile, could sell Zdravko Kuzmanovic to Sevilla; he is displeased with the arrival of Cristiano Zanetti.

In Spain, various press sources are at odds over their predictions on the future of Cesc Fabregas. Whether or not he will remain with Arsenal is as yet, unknown.

Atletico Madrid are said to be seeking the services of Ajax's Gregory van der Wiel while Malaga have thrown their name in the hat for Mateja Kezman of PSG.

Fellow Serbian, Nemanja Matic, has claimed that Chelsea are closing in on a £5m deal with his club, MFK Kosice.

The Pensioners have again loaned Michael Mancienne to Wolverhampton Wanderers, but the young defender has apparently signed a new deal at Stamford Bridge. Also, Nicolas Anelka has admitted that he is eager to begin talks over a new deal with the Blues.

Arsenal target, Brede Hangeland, has confirmed that he is likely to remain with Fulham and the Gunners have also pulled the plug on their interest in Bordeaux's Marouane Chamakh.

Arsene Wenger's side are also in competition with rivals Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of the Crystal Palace prodigy, Victor Moses.

Mark Hughes has declared that his interest in Joleon Lescott remains; Manchester City have already seen two bids for the Everton defender rebuffed.

Meanwhile, Afonso Alves could join Benfica, according to his agent.

Finally, an intriguing piece of news from the Bundesliga. Hoffenheim have released summer signing Prince Tagoe after allegedly detecting a heart problem. However, the Ghana international is preparing a law suit against his former employers for 'infringement of human rights'.
